  • What Really Happened at the Billabong Air & Style

The Billabong Air and Style in Innsbruck... it's kinda a big deal. It's a 6 Star TTR event (as highest ranked as they come) and this years showing of big names like Travis Rice, Peetu Piiroinen, Andreas Wiig, Iouri "iPod" Podladtchikov and Torstein Horgmo made it even that much bigger of a deal.

But it was the modest Slovenian kid with the dimples who dropped those "big" names down on the results list and came out on top with the always heartwarming underdog story.

You may not have heard of Marco Grilc but any friend of his, especially any friend of the European type, will tell you that this is a much deserved win for the unassuming Slovak.

Here's the bottom line in results, but for more impact check out the bottom line in video courtesy of TTR (Ticket to Ride) If you can't get your fill here make the jump over to www.ttrworldtour.com for even more eye candy.

  • Seb Toots Wins Stylewars To Become TTR No.1

The Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour has a new Tour leader: With his win at the 4Star Stylewars 2009 in Falls Creek, Australia, the 16 year old Sebastien Toutant from Canada finished the contest in front of his current biggest opponent on the Tour and fellow countryman Charles Reid. Toutant is the youngest Tour leader in Swatch
    TTR history.

Reid now sits in World No. 2 with a 3rd place finish behind Norwegian youngster Mikkel Bang who took second place at
Stylewars. Eric Willett managed to enter the TTR Top 5 and is now ranked 4th on the world ranking list thanks to his 4th place finish at Stylewars and 3rd place finish in the Slopestyle format of the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open only two weeks ago. Stay tuned to ttrworldtour.com for the full news release and video from one of the sickest contest of the Southern Hemisphere winter, Stylewars 2009.
