Shaun White Targets the Ladies- Threads approved for women; shoes set to drop in July.

Shaun White isn't just an amazing action sports athlete. He's also an incredibly keen business man with a sense of style that's taking over the mainstream. His most recent step towards world domination comes in the form of shoes and apparel. Teamed together, Shaun White and Target unveiled a new line of skate sneakers set to hit stores in early July.

The affordable and "skateable" shoes are sure to be a hit, but they aren't the only item that have people talking. During the soiree for the sneakers in mid-town Manhattan, White talked about his apparel line and his approval of women wearing his duds.

According to Kelly O'Reilly on NBC's The Thread Blog, Shaun and his brother-turned designer, Jesse, explained "girls wearing the clothes is really the moment the line's a success."

Shaun spoke on his view of female fashionistas and said, "That's my favorite when girls wear the clothes because, you know, we make it for boys, so when boys wear it, it's like the obvious thing. But I have friends, or Isee girls on the street wearing a plaid shirt and I'm like, 'nice! you're in my shirt.'"

White further emphasized this view by stating, "Girls are obviously the ones with the fashion sense, and if they dig your stuff, it's kind of like our test. You know you made a good pattern if girls want to wear it. It makes you feel like you're definitely on the right track."

The new shoe line which ranges from $19.99- $34.99, will be hitting the aisles of "Tarjay" on July 11. The similarly priced apparel line will be gracing the racks in early August, just in time for the back-to-school shop-a-thons.
