5 adventure photographers to follow on Instagram

Sometimes getting outdoors is a lot harder than it sounds thanks to work and family responsibilities.

It’s not always easy to just jump in the car and head to the nearest national park, which is why we’ve scoured Instagram for some of the best outdoor photographers to follow.

These adventure photogs are the best in the game, and travel to remote and popular outdoor destinations to take breathtaking photos.

The National Geographic photographer and filmmaker is also a great climber. He has spent 14 years on The North Face athlete team.

Chin is seriously talented and was one of the directors on the award-winning climbing documentary Meru.

The adventure photographer has more than a million followers on Instagram and it’s easy to see why. His unmatched talent allows him to travel the world doing things most people have never even dreamed of.

Chin is also one of the few to ski the summit of Mount Everest.

Hawaiian native Zak Noyle has been honing his chops since he was a kid.

His hard work has paid off as he is now a senior photographer at SURFER and has had countless commercial gigs.

His dad Ric Noyle is also a seasoned commercial photographer and helped him get started early.

Zak’s connection to the ocean is apparent in his unique take on surf photography, as he seems to know exactly where to get the best light.

Professional skier and self-described pro adventurer, Kalen Thorien photographs beautiful snowy mountaintops injected with her personal brand of fun.

Whether kayaking pristine waterways or repelling down steep faces, Thorien inspires some serious wanderlust with her adventure shots.

She learned to ski on the slopes of some of the best skiing in the world in Salt Lake City, Utah, and travels the state and the west capturing breathtaking nature shots.

Canadian Callum Snape specializes in photographing hard to reach landscapes.

The travel photographer takes interesting photos of people in the great outdoors, like yogis enjoying a tough to reach hanging rock or a relaxing hammock nap in an ice cave.

Every single one of his pictures is thought provoking and the hard work he puts in to get each shot is inspiring.

Jorgenson is a mountain sports photographer, following everything from skiing and snowboarding to dirt biking and standup paddling.

His Instagram shows a wide variety of the fun to be had in the mountain tops.

He lives in Whistler, British Columbia, and follows his friends around the mountains. The photos are beautifully composed and he has a knack for capturing people in shear moments of joy.

It’s hard not to smile when scrolling through his feed.
