Costa Rica is home to some of the most beautiful coastline and landscapes in the world, and Etnies is teaming up with a non- profit restoration foundation called La Riserva and a local tribe called the Maleku (known as “guardians of the forest”).
In honor of planting the first 150 rubber trees etnies owner Pierre-André Senizergues flew out some of his team members which included: Ryan Sheckler, Benji Weatherly, Kyle Leeper, Chris Del Moro and CJ Kanuha.
“For every Jameson 2 Eco shoe sold, etnies will plant a tree along Costa Rica’s Rio Sol biological corridor in what will become the etnies Rainforest.“
The shoes are “constructed from worn-out bike tires and used rubber gloves to create the shoes’ outsole and recycled plastic bottles for their PET shoelaces.”
So Help Etnies build a rainforest and join them in their effort to plant more than 35,000 trees.Put so beautifully…
“One company, one shoe, one tribe, one foundation, one planet … one step at a time.”
