In 2007 Doug Walker goes to the Rose Bowl Swap Meet in Pasadena, California, an hour from the beach in East Los Angeles. There he would stumble across a large box filled with over 30,000 black and white negatives. After purchasing the box and doing some research he would learn that they originally belonged to Surfing Magazine in the 60’s and 70’s, and many of them would be the iconic original images that shaped our sport, taken by the men who invented surf photography.
Doug decided to track down the original photographers and document their stories. this is them.
