Ever wonder what it’s like to rally race in the snow? With freezing temperatures, variable conditions, and the looming chance of mechanical failure, it’s a challenging sport, to say the least.
This week, ‘World of Adventure’ brings viewers to watch Travis Pastrana battle fellow teammate and competitor David Higgins, and Subaru Rally Team Canada driver and rival, Antoine L'Estage, at the Rallye Perce-Neige, which takes place every year in Maniwaki, Canada.
The Rallye Perce Neige is the kick-off event to both the American Rally Association and Canadian Rally Championship seasons, and a true test of skill.
With single-digit air temperatures, snow-covered surfaces, and no studded tires, see how the top drivers in rally fare against Quebec's frozen logging roads.
Pastrana says of the event, “For me, in all the things that I’ve done, what I’ve loved most is competition. So much of what we do right now is trying to entertain somebody. Rally, you just get to race.”
