Mt. Bachelor hosts the event each spring to celebrate a successful season, while inviting pros from all over to push their limits on a massive 90-foot jump.
Adding complexity to the contest is the variability of Mt. Bachelor’s weather, helping to set apart the hardest-charging riders and skiers on the mountain.
Among this year’s best was local pro Ryan Linnert, who tapped into his local knowledge of the mountain to land himself on the podium.
“With this mountain being so flowy and having such natural features, it makes you a better rider, because you have to be on your toes,” says Linnert. “A lot of good riders come from this mountain because of that reason.”
