LOS ANGELES (Dec 3, 2009) – On Sunday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. EST, CBS Sports will air the 2009 ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross (FMX). This hour-long program, produced by ASA Entertainment, features the top professional riders in Freestyle Motocross performing incredible motorcycle stunts while battling for the prestigious World Championships title.
Watch four-time World Champion, Nate "the Destroyer" Adams (Glendale, Arizona), compete against the world’s best, including Mike Mason (Minden, NV), Beau Bamburg (Gresham, OR), Adam Jones (Warrendale, PA), Ronnie Faisst (Mays Landing, NJ), Takayuki Higashino (Osaka, Japan) and more. With 100' long flips, whips and mind-blowing tricks, anything can happen - and did.
The ASA World Championships of Freestyle Motocross, now in its 7th year, is widely considered a favorite event amongst the pros and always features a challenging and creative course with more than 9,000 yards of dirt jumps, hips and landings. Besides the world-class competition, the television program also features athlete profiles, trick tips, interviews and behind-the-scenes action.
2009 is the fifth consecutive year the event will air on CBS Sports. With an NFL lead-in, fans are advised to check their local listings for exact times as they may vary according to local NFL TV schedules. Three additional airings of the event will be shown on Sportsnet New York on December 13 at 3:00 p.m., December 19 at 1:00 p.m. and December 27 at 6:00 p.m. with six more broadcasts on CBS College Sports in December.
