The X Games returned to Mexico for its second year. The X Games Mexico (also referred to as X Mex) took place on September 20-21 in Mexico City. Some of the best athletes in the world showed up to compete in Skateboard Street, BMX Street, MotoX Best Trick, and MotoX Step Up. Three new events debuted for the second year in Mexico: Moto X Best Whip and MotoX Freestyle. While the Americans ultimately swept the podium on all of the final competitions, there were a variety of athletes on hand to represent their country and their sports.
