The 2008-09 Snowboarding World Cup is a multi race tournament over a season for snowboarding. The season began on September 6, 2008, and finishes on March 22, 2009. The World Cup is organized by the FIS who also runs world cups and championships in cross-country skiing, ski jumping, nordic combined, alpine skiing and freestyle skiing. From the 9th to the 11th January 2009 you can visit the Snowboard FIS World Cup in Bad Gastein.
When 10.000 Watt illuminate the "Buchebenskiwiese" in Bad Gasteinit it means again "the night is on fire". The competition will be in the discipline of Snowboardcross.
