The Wave: Honolua Bay, the only outer-island stop on the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, is a right-hand point break that is the kind of wave surfers dream of. Peeling off over several hundred yards, the ride offers numerous top to bottom maneuvers as well as barrel riding. Australians have won this event 10 of the 11 years it has run as it greatly resembles the right-hand, sand-bottom point breaks of Queensland and New South Wales.
