Extremely Sorry Premier, Don't Tell PETA

By: Tom Morin

Extremely Sorry
The premier of the much awaited, third installment of Flip's Sorry series, Extremely Sorry, premiered last night at the Grove in Anaheim. If you don't want me to spoil it for you, stop reading now, because I'm going to give some of my observations.

First and most importantly, yes there is a Shane Cross tribute, it's the very first part of the video, and it's rad. "Never Forget Shane Cross." And yes, Ali Boulala has a section too, which is also on point. These two, are two of the most talented skateboarders to ever step on a board, and they are two of the best personalities we've ever seen. Skateboarding misses both of you, hang in there Ali.

Back to the video. Rowley (pronounced Rollie) has the first section, his friend kills a mountain lion, and he kills everything. He even does the plunge into that nasty European water that Boulala did in Sorry. Rodrigo TX and Luan de Oliveira get their street technician on. Rune Glifberg and Lance Mountain destroy tranny as usual. Lance's part is especially sick because it seems like it is one session in one pool. The kids that make all of us old guys not want to skate anymore, Curren Caples and Louie Lopez, show us what the future holds. Then there's Bob Burnquist, I can't even explain what he did. Simply put, he single handedly changed mega ramp skating. Tom Penny is as trippy as usual, and Appleyard does his thing.

That brings us to the coveted final section, which goes to my new favorite skater, David Gonzalez. He spits on a dead pigeon, and then spits in your face with one of the best video sections of the year. I don't know how his body stays in tact. He's such a small guy, but goes so fucking big. He's the Columbian Jamie Thomas. Oh yeah, and there's a lot of clay animation in the video, it reminded me of Pee Wee's Playhouse, which I think kind of dates me.

Check out the premier photos below, all taken by MORINformed, except the ones he's in:
