The "Greatest Danger" in the Medical Use of Marijuana is it's illegality, which imposes much Anxiety and Expense on Suffering People, Forces them to Bargain with Illicit Drug Dealers, and "Exposes Them to Criminal Prosecution". In 1976 the US federal government created the Investigational New Drug (IND) compassionate access research program to allow patients to recieve medical cannabis from the government. The government approved the distribution of over 9 lbs of cannabis to a half dozen patients, all whom report being substantially helped by it.
