Imagine jeans so stretchy you could go climbing or do yoga while wearing them.
“It started as an obsession to find a comfortable pair of jeans that you could put on in the morning and wear cycling, hiking or climbing, and still look stylish for a meeting or night out,” one of the founders said in the campaign video. “This was the foundation for Boulder Denim.”
The stretch denim keeps its shape and has a 92 percent stretch retainment, which is much higher than the industry average of 60 percent.
The jeans are treated with a stain repellent, so it’s more likely they’ll make it through an entire day.
Since the jeans are meant for physical exertion, the seams are extra durable and reinforced to prevent rips and tears.
It’s also easy to store valuables in the pants thanks to a hidden zipper. There is no need to worry that your phone will fall out when completing a difficult line.
Thus far, the company has received nearly three times their goal of raising $15,000, and the campaign ends Jan. 7.
Boulder Denim makes a skinny cut for women and two different cuts for men, a slim fit and an athletic fit, the latter meant for men with thicker thighs.
One pair costs $109, and they’re expected to ship next March.
