We walked the show floor for 2017’s Outdoor Retailer Summer Show, and were blown away by the ingenuity, design, and blank of the product we saw.
Here’s a quick recap of the standout product we saw cruising the OR showroom floor.
Dakine is debuting a full line of dry-bag, water resistant options called the Cyclone Collection that will have you covered no matter the occasion, from a weekend trip to a week long river rafting jaunt.
Each bag is outfitted with tough-as-nails Cordura Fabric and lock-style zippers, both meant to keep water out and possessions safe.
Rokum is a new brand to show at Outdoor Retailer, and we were impressed with what they had to offer. Based in Chile, the brand’s standout products include a pop-up tent with a built-in mattress that truly speaks to their tagline: “Enjoying Nature Comfortably.”
Continuing to support our national parks is front and center on the minds of the crew at Parks Project. The brand’s goal is to create gear and apparel that not only supports the parks, but looks good as well. We’d say they nailed it with their new Spring 18 collection.
Full Windsor makes a titanium multi-utensil. Started by a husband and wife from New Zealand and Britain, respectively, the brand seeks to address the problem of carrying too many tools while out in the wild.
Featuring a peeler, can opener, flathead screwdriver, butter knife, bottle opener and more in one compact package, The Muncher is the ultimate tool to pack for your next adventure.
Barebones’ entire collection, from their new sleeping bag to their Copper Beacon lights, had us asking for more. The brand places a heavy focus on design, as well as redefining the function and form of everyday products such as flashlights, axes, tents and more.
Another brand known for their elevated, minimal design paired with ultimate performance, Snow Peak presented a curated collection at the 2017 Summer Show.
The brand focused on their Japanese heritage to bring clean lines and premium materials to life through apparel, camping and cooking products.
For Spring ’18, Merrell is continuing to hone in on perfecting the women’s outdoor shoe, as well as create a full line of trail running, hiking and all purpose shoes for both men and women.
Tepui Tents showed their full line of tents at the Summer Show, including their newest offering: a hard-shell rooftop tent that comes in black and white, with the ability to create custom graphics for the shell as well.
The brand has also added the ability to remove tent coverings from the base of their rooftop tents, making it easier than ever to customize and care for their tents.
