Of a Revolution, the band more commonly known as O.A.R, will return to Colorado’s legendary outdoor venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater for a concert and live broadcast of the show on Sunday, July 15.
O.A.R is known for their laid-back rock and roll vibe and anthems of outdoor adventures. This summer the band is embarking on their Summer Crush Tour and is excited to perform at Red Rocks for the fifth time in their career.
We got in touch with Benj Gershman, one of the band’s founding members and current bassist, for the inside scoop on Sunday’s show and what it’s like to play at one of the world’s best outdoor venues.
What is your favorite aspect of Red Rocks Amphitheater?
My personal favorite aspect of Red Rocks is being immersed in nature and surrounded by our audience. For me, it’s overwhelming to feel so connected to so many individuals, especially while performing at one of the most beautiful amphitheaters in the world. It’s fun to be as distracted by the screaming audience as it is by the rock formations. Shows, and venues like this are the reason we are a band.
What are you looking forward to with the live broadcast of this show?
The pressure of a live broadcast. It’s exciting to know that it’s not just the audience in-house viewing our performance, but countless individuals tuning in through AXS TV.
Any specifics that you are excited about with this show?
I’m looking forward to it just like any other show, making music I love with my best friends for a crowd who chooses to be there with us to share an unforgettable night.
