Daily Grind: ‘From Fell to Forest’ showcases England’s stark beauty

Anyone who has ever visited northern England has no doubt been taken aback by the stark beauty of its moors, grasslands, and valleys–features that a new mountain biking short film by Sam Needham uses to full effect. In the video below, “From Fell to Forest,” Needham films riders Sam Flanagan, Ben Whitehead, and Matt Wight descending from the fells of northern England’s Lake District, which sits about midway between Leeds and Scotland’s Edinburgh, into the Forests of Cumbria. If this video doesn’t make you book a ticket to northern England right now, at the very least it will get you motivated to go for a ride in the hopes of finding some scenery closer to home that is somewhat reminiscent of the Lake District’s beauty.
