freestyle.ch 2010 - Crossover Session

When it's freestyle.ch-time, you're coming - no matter what! Even buckets of rain can't stop you! For the 16th time Europe's biggest action sports extravaganza on Zurich's Landiwiese unites the best of the best in the most exciting freestyle disciplines of Snowboarding, Freeskiing, Freestyle Motocross (FMX) and Skateboarding. The highlight event of the day is the crossover session, where all 4 disciplines compete against each other. FMX couldn't participate this time due to the rain and for safety reasons. In a tight superfinal between Tom Wallisch (USA), his freesking friends Simon Dumont (USA) and Andreas H tveit as well as skateboarder Sandro Dias (BRA), the crowd liked Wallisch's performance most. Tom Wallisch is the new crossover.champ 2010! And in crossover session tradition Tom was carried on the crossover.champ throne to the stage.

Jay Peak Owners Buy Burke Mountain

The Mountain has 260 acres of skiable terrain across 50 named trails with 2,011 vertical feet and 100 acres of maintained glades

Burke Mountain, in Northeast Vermont, has new ownership with strong ties to the region.
An ownership group made up of principals in Jay Peak Resort,Vermont has purchased neighboring Burke Mountain. Ariel Quiros, who along with Jay Peak president Bill Stenger bought Jay Peak Resort from Mont Saint-Sauveur Valley resorts in 2008, is heading the group, called Q-Burke. Stenger is involved as well.
