The dramatic biopic, which shares its title with Mikes sophomore solo LP, chronicles the rappers rise to fame from the streets of his hometown. Jones cowrote and stars in The American Dream, which was directed by filmmaker Derrick Dixon. The movie also has appearances by Clifton Powell, Hassan Johnson, Tamala Jones and Renalo Rey.
