Jeff "Ox" Kargola Seriously Injured in Baja

Ox Story
Metal Mulisha team rider Jeff "Ox" Kargola was injured pre-running the Baja 1000 last week outside San Felipe, Mexico. According to Mulisha TM Ryan "Fluffer" Hagy, Ox was traveling at about 50mph when his back tire clipped a rock sending him headfirst over the bars, spearing himself in the stomach in the process. Ever the badass, Ox dizzily got on the bike and somehow made it back to the main highway outside San Felipe where he managed to travel some distance before stopping his bike in the middle of the road, unable to continue. Thankfully a few friendly locals stopped too, picked him up and drove him back into town (one of the locals even rode his bike back for him!). He was then airlifted to Scripps Mercy hospital in San Diego where he was treated for severe internal injuries. Ox is recovering now and at this point his doctors believe he'll make a full recovery.
