Bailey / Wilson / Rattray / Pingree / S. Lusk / Concept 2 Rowers on DMXS Tonight!

By: Chris Worden

David Bailey has soothed us with his silky smooth voice while announcing the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship this season and was on hand at Thunder Valley for the latest round. We'll catch up with The Icon tonight on his thoughts of the battles, blunders, and surprises as the series reaches the halfway point at Red Bud this weekend.

Pro Circuit's Tyla Rattray was always going to succeed with his abundance of talent and speed, but it just took a little more time than he first thought after coming here from South Africa. After basically missing two SX seasons, there was a lot riding on the outdoors this year and he has not disappointed. We'll talk with Tyla tonight after a day of testing at Perris.

Another Pro Circuit rider that has shined this outdoor season is the cuddly Dean Wilson from wherever. His nationality status is a bit complicated but we sure are glad there are no outdoor rounds north of the border this summer. We had to get him back on and show him some love for scoring his first ever overall and sitting a solid second in points going into Michigan.

TLD's David Pingree took a chance on hiring Ben Townley after his self imposed hiatus from racing had many wondering if he could return and compete at the highest level again. We never doubted the Kiwi, and neither did his team, and the results are finally showing. David is always a fun guest and we'll hear about his motocross future and how things are going post-vasectomy.

If you do not know about Concept2 rowers, than stop reading this and go to their site immediately. The world has discovered the numerous benefits of this elite training equipment that many top athletes are already using. Greg Hammond is a good friend of the show and we'll see what he has planned for us at Loretta Lynn's this year in the always competitive and fun rowing games. Check them out at www.Concept2.com for the latest updates and information on the world's best rowing machine.

Shane Lusk is a hero of ours. He has overcome great odds and displayed amazing heart and determination after suffering a spinal cord injury several years ago while racing. He has since graduated from Florida State University and continues to give back to the sport with his riding camps. Shane and Ezra Lusk will be having one of their Built Lusk Tough camps July 5-9 at their compound in Bainbridge, Georgia. Shane will be on to give us the details tonight, but please visit www.BuiltLuskTough.com if you are interested in attending. They make a great team and I guarantee any rider would benefit from their camp.

Roost Report: Hangtown to Freestone

Stewart showed up at Hangtown looking calm, cool, collected, kicked some butt and took names

The biggest story leading up to the season opener of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship circled around one James Stewart. Everyone asked, "Will he kick some butt, will he choke, was his problem with SX all in his head or has he landed on his head too many times, will the Suzuki be his saving grace, if he was so fond of the Suzuki starting last year, why did he ride for another team if he says he does not do it for the money," and a slew of other questions. Many of those questions may..
