With only five days remaining before the latest version of Red Bull: New Year. No Limits event Robbie Maddison has reportedly broken the previous distance record of 391 feet held by Ryan Capes.
In an interview with ESPN, Maddo was asked about Ryan Capes holding the current distance record, Maddo swiftly replied with, "Nope! I already broke it in practice. I can't share numbers at this point but I can say that people who tune in on New Year's Eve are going to see something that's never been done before."
Maddo may be excited about setting a new record in practice, but it won't mean nearly as much unless he's able to break the record in front of a live audience. All great daredevil's thrive in the spotlight as Maddo has previously proven in the past with successful record breaking performances on New Year's eve.
Stay-tuned on New Years Eve as Maddo will attempt to set a new record live from San Diego, Calif., at 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT on ESPN, ESPNHD and ESPN3.
Here's a look at Maddo's modified Yamaha he'll be riding during the event.
