Obama surprises Hawaii hikers

President Barack Obama is no stranger to exercise.

He is perhaps the fittest president in history, and there’s even a website dedicated to First Lady Michelle’s super-sculpted arms.

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that POTUS and the fam fit in a little exercise while on vacation to Oahu, Hawaii.

Obama and Michelle surprised hikers yesterday morning on the Koko Head Crater Stairs.

Many grabbed selfies and shook hands with him. Someone asked how long it took him to get to the top, to which he breezily replied, “Oh, about 15, 20 minutes.”

He blazed up the trail with security and family friends.

One bold hiker took advantage of the situation and told Obama to “legalize [marijuana] on your way out,” which Obama chuckled at.

The trail is also known as the “Stairs of Doom” because of the 1,000 steps hikers must climb to reach the top.

The steps are actually tracks that were used by a military base to transport supplies to the top of the crater.

According to KHON2, Obama’s motorcade returned to Kailua, where he is staying, a little after noon.

Obama returns to his hometown in Honolulu every Christmas.
