U.S. snowboarder Elena Hight may have caught our attention this year with her naked spread in ESPN’s The Body Issue, but the 24-year-old halfpipe competitor is looking for a bigger headline this winter: Olympic gold medalist.

The four-time Winter X Games medalist is working toward her third Olympics, and a chance at her first podium finish in the lauded winter competition. And as the first woman to land a double backside alley-oop rodeo in the halfpipe (in competition, no less), the American has the bag of tricks to make it happen.

But Hight will have to get there first, competing against a strong group of American women for only four spots on Team USA. To give us a little perspective on what goes into just getting to the 2014 Sochi Olympics, the Hawaii-born snowboarder is releasing a miniseries called “Hight Hopes” to document her journey. Made in conjunction with Snowboarder magazine, the series will give an in-depth look at Hight’s struggles through five rounds of qualification to hopefully reach her third Olympic Games.

Check out the teaser here, and look for episodes on Snowboardermag.com early next month.
