Here are a few photos from the extensive collection of images from Liz Clark's solo surf mission throughout the Pacific ocean. In Lizzy's words:

"After 2 years of preparation, I sailed my 40' sailboat, Swell, south from Santa Barbara in October of 2005. I have since traveled through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Isla del Coco, Galapagos, French Polynesia, and the Line Islands."

A beglua whale calf born Friday night at the Georgia Aquarium has died, despite receiving 24-hour nurturing from animal care experts at the Atlanta facility.
