Aspen/Snowmass Opens New Bike Trail

With summer ramping up, Aspen/Snowmass has switched gears from winter sports and is moving forward with the mountain biking mentality. Colorado’s renowned resort recently unveiled Valhalla, a brand new mountain biking trail built and designed by Gravity Logic.

The trail boasts 2.75 miles of freeride terrain, with more than 1,400 feet of vertical drop descending from the Elk Camp Gondola to the Snowmass Base Village.

John Cowan, a professional mountain biker, was brought on by Gravity Logic to help develop and design the trail and has made sure to fill it with plenty of “banging jumps from top to bottom.” Cowan said there are a large number of versatile features near the end, and riders would feel “punched at the bottom, because there’s definitely no room for brakes.”

Valhalla is fit for intermediate to advanced riders and boasts a lengthy list of features including bridges, table tops, a wall ride, drop zone, fruit bowl and rainbow rides.

Check out this teaser and head to Aspen/Snowmass for more info about this exciting new trail.
