There’s a new mountain bike series in the Rocky Mountains called the Big Mountain Enduro Series, and it’s gaining a lot of buzz. Indeed, Bike magazine hailed the series with the headline “World-Class Enduro Racing Comes to the Rockies.” (For Bike’s preview of the series, click here.)
For those of you unfamiliar with enduro-style racing, it’s downhill racing in stages, and it also includes climbing, which is why it’s sometimes referred to as “all mountain” racing. (For a more thorough explanation, click here.)
The Big Mountain series will feature more than 45,000 vertical feet of descending over five multi-stage, multi-day events in Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico.
Sounds like fun to us.
