The inaugural Master of the Mass was a four-stage, three-day mountain biking race in Snowmass, Colorado that took place July 13-15, 2012. This Enduro Mountain Bike Race featured a variety of terrain and included chainless downhill, cross-country, downhill and super-downhill stages.
It posed riders with the ultimate challenge– all racers had to choose just one bike to race for all four disciplines. This contest quirk challenged even the most prolific riders on the intense, multifaceted course. Master of the Mass was also unlike any other race in that riders tackled more than 8,000 vertical feet of descending terrain throughout the four-stage race.
The nation’s best riders turned out for the action packed event and attended several parties throughout the weekend in the idyllic mountain town of Aspen, Colorado.
