Most buyers guides suck–they’re little more than catalog copy rolled into a “special issue.”
That blows.
Which is why the crew at Bike magazine creates the magazine’s buyers guide very differently.
For their Bible of Bike Tests, they take some of the most promising bikes and gear and they actually flog the hell out of it on some of the best trails in the world. Next, they fill a magazine with what amounts to an entire year’s worth of legitimate, interesting, and thoroughly kick-ass product reviews. That magazine–Bike’s Bible of Bike Tests–will soon be on newsstands (and Apple Newsstand for all the digital-inclined types) next week.
Here’s a preview from the Bike magazine crew’s time in Fruita, Colorado.
