Arkansas couple hit winning lottery tickets twice on same fishing trip

Steve and Terri Weaver returned from a fishing trip to Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas over the weekend with one whopper of a tale to tell. On the way to fishing, the couple from Stuttgart, Arkansas, stopped off at T-Ricks convenience store in Pangburn and bought a lottery scratch-off ticket, and won $1 million. They could hardly believe it. If that wasn’t enough, on their return trip home, they stopped at T-Ricks to confirm their winning ticket, bought more lottery scratch-offs, and won $50,000 more. Incredible. ABC News has the story:

Alas, there was no word on whether the couple had as much luck catching fish on their fishing trip. But we did learn from the Arkansas News that they plan to pay bills and invest in their retirement from the winnings. They’ll probably take a few more fishing trips, too.
