Bam Margera’s 100-foot waterfall plunge revealed on video

Bam Margera of “Jackass” fame claimed that his recent 100-foot tandem waterfall plunge with pro kayaker Steve Fisher was one of the gnarliest stunts he has ever performed. It was also among the more painful, requiring a hernia operation in an Oregon hospital. Video footage of the stunt, performed in Oregon at the end of May, was released Monday (the first footage of the actual plunge airs at the 1:20 mark).

Margera announced the stunt via Twitter on May 30, stating: “Just did a 100ft tandem kayak jump with pro kayaker Steve Fisher in Oregon!”

The next day the reality TV star, who is famous for his pranks and stunts, Tweeted a photo of himself in the hospital.

Contour, which makes mountable cameras, posted a photo of the kayak going over the falls Friday on its Facebook page, and on Monday released the footage.

It shows the dangerous plunge from many angles — Margera was unseated upon impact — and from every angle it indeed looked gnarly.
