A wayward elk somehow found itself in the middle of traffic on the ring road surrounding the city of Moscow recently. Fortunately for the elk, motorists on the usually crowded motorway managed to avoid the animal, which fell on the slippery highway before getting up and running with the traffic in the fast lane. The incident was captured on a dash-cam. Here’s the report from ITN News:

The elk was also fortunate there wasn’t more traffic, otherwise its fate might have been different. As it was, the elk survived. Reporter Matt Blake said it suffered only mild shock and is “believed to be recovering in local wilderness.”
