The professional photographer who took the above photo usually devotes his time to taking shots of landscapes. But the landscape at Merrill Creek Reservoir near Washington, New Jersey, took on a life of its own Thursday when a migrating flock of snow geese took flight, giving Tom Molczynski plenty to photograph.

Fortunately, Molczynski also shot some video. “It was amazing to see this,” he wrote in an email. Amazing, indeed. This is part of what he videotaped:

Besides incredible, one other word comes to mind: umbrella.
