Canoe and Kayak magazine’s 40th anniversary celebration wouldn’t be complete without a shout-out to the companies that have supported the magazine from the start, and drove the evolution of their sport. In this vein, they’ve put together a contest where you can vote for your favorite vintage ad from the sport’s most dominant companies.

The contest kicked off Feb. 11, with a first-round showdown between Stohlquist and Teva, and continues with a new battle every weekday through Feb. 19. Be sure to check out the vintage ads and cast your ballots for NOC, Old Town, Perception, Rutabaga, Hyside, and Current Designs. Each contest will go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, and friends can vote once per round. Check back on their Facebook page when the contest launches for results. And click here to vote now.
