The event will take place at St. John's Pier and Pavilion on June 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Following the blueprint of the well-attended first event in California last summer, Camp SUP will feature wetsuit/SUP gear demos, clinics, an open Fun Paddle Race and beer garden all benefiting Keepers of the Coast.
"SUP magazine's main goal is simple: to inspire paddlers to get on the water," says Editor Will Taylor. "Camp SUP is a fantastic way to do that face-to-face with our readers. Whether you're a first-time paddler, an excited grom looking to learn from the pros or an experienced water-person hoping to try the newest boards, Camp SUP has something for everyone."
The event is a great way for the family to try paddling for the first time, for the intermediate to improve paddling skills and the expert to try a new board before purchasing.
Joining the east coast team is yoga Instructor and St. Augustine local Jessica Amendola, who will head the SUP Yoga Clinics and ACA-certified instructor and Daytona Beach local Matt Hite, who will lead the stroke clinic.
