Good news for all you SUPers out there: Registration for the 2016 Pacific Paddle Games, presented by SUP Magazine and Salt Life, is now open, giving even casual standup paddleboarders the opportunity to sign themselves up for a chance to compare their abilities against the top pros in the world.
The event will take place again at beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, Sept. 30 through Oct. 2.
It will feature both technical and distance races (in pro and open divisions) for competitors of all ages as well as a gear demo zone and instruction clinics to help paddlers perfect their technique while trying out new products.
The games will also be handing out some serious cash, with $60,000 (the largest prize purse in paddle sports history) to be distributed among competitors.
Registration will be open through Sept. 23 for competitors in the Open division and Sept. 16 for competitors in the Pro division, so don’t delay if you’re planning on attending the 2016 Pacific Paddle Games.
