1 of 1 Why I will raise the standard for Pro MX Mechanics! Why I will raise the standard for Pro MX Mechanics! In 1968 I was 14 and my brother bought me a skateboard. They were 4 inches wide then and I rode the wheels off it. I could jump my bicycle higher and ride a wheely farther than any kid in town. I was a Paratrooper at Ft Bragg in the mid seventies. Those Silver Wings are hard earned. I bought my first motorcycle at 23, first dirt bike at 24, first MX bike at 25. I've owned 13 MX bikes since then. I raced some but mostly showed up at tracks on practice day and embarrassed riders half my age, actually I was there for fun. I loved big air. I was 50 in 2006 and a high gear get off left me with a torn rotator cuff beyond complete repair. I was luckier than my late racer friend, I was luckier than my friends that are now in wheelchairs. 25 years of riding MX bikes was awsome. I can ride a roadbike, I have a FZ6. I thank god for sparing me a worse fate, but I miss Motocross a lot. I owned a bike shop and have rebuilt lots of motors and forks. I broke over a dozen bones loving motocross. I set my own broken leg in 2004. My buddies said "People usually scream and yell when they break a leg", but I ain't a people. I am an animal. I recovered quickley from all my injuries and was back to work. I am a trick, hand carved, one off MX Mechanic going to waste. My coworkers love me because life is too short for dull moments. Last Febuary I went to Bardstown KY Comedy Caravan's amatuer night and they cheered Bearcat Bearcat when I left the stage. I could make a living at comedy but the crowd was full of drunks and druggies and I don't want to be around them. I take great pictures (www.ryankoontz.com), built many computers and I'm good with Photoshop. No brag just fact. I won't shut up till somebody hires me. I reach my goals in life and my sights are set on AMA SX and MX teams. I am patient, let me know when your ready for the most bang for your buck. Thanks for reading. Take a lap for me. Bearcat out. 1 of 1 |
