* HOW IT ALL STARTED: Redline Bicycles was born in 1974, as the offshoot of Redline motorcycle frames. It wasn't long before Redline used its motorcycle technology in designing state-of-the-art products that wound up setting the standards for BMX these past four decades. Redline was the first company to manufacture tubular chromoly forks and cranks; both are products that have become todays industry standard. SBS purchased REDLINE Bicycles in 1984, and has kept up the brands winning tradition on the BMX race & freestyle circuits by sponsoring some of the sports' most talented athletes.
