This is such an awesome site! Years ago I thought I'd get into racing....that is until I went over a jump and crashed too close for comfort to a tree, sliding along the way collecting as many thorns in my jeans as possible (try walking with jeans full of thorns!) Every time I moved I was getting pricked with the thorns stuck in my jeans, as I'm trying to blow things off to the onlookers like, "I'm okay, just walking it off, everything's fine." It was either walk it off through each painful step and go home to change pants, or take my pants off then and there and go home while the memory of me in my underwear was seared into everyone's brains. It was then that I realized, considering my knack for clumsiness, I was probably better off just cheering on my dad and my brother at the races. Mark "Banger" Straubinger would always tell me I could, "^%#@ up an anvil with a rubber mallot," as I'm one of the most accident & mishap prone people you'd ever meet. I still have carried a love for motorcycles over the years, a natural product of coming from a family of motorcycle enthusiasts of various sorts.
