About
Born in 1970, I lived most of my early years in sunny San Diego on the island of Coronado . Intensely training for my dream career as a professional surfer/ skateboarder, only to have that wish squashed by being uprooted & transplanted to the cold, dark city of Washington, D.C. After seeing all the crime & violence that our great capital had to offer, I was truly ready for the military.
I served four years in the army during the 1st Gulf War with the 1st Calvary Division as a demolition specialist. This left me a disabled veteran suffering with Gulf War Syndrome (PTSD). I still enjoy surfing, skating/snow boarding, silversmithing, sculpting, rock/artifact hunting, and am a gemologist enthusiast. My inner strength will not allow the disabilities to interfere with my passions.
I am fine-tuning my craft and abilities, Channeling my positive energy into Gideon's Silver Designs; unique sterling silver rings, bracelets, chokers & pendants. Blind Faith Art (blindfaithart.com) is my sculptural art. I have a hard time being called an artist, but if I am an artist, I feel like a kind flower that is just beginning to bloom. My thirst for lapidary knowledge is growing and this intensity from with-in, is pushing me towards my new dream; Becoming a famous visionary artist before I kick the bucket. But for now, I guess I' (ll settle for the ' ~ol starving artist scenario. Well, enough whining! Thanks for your interest!
Love, Peace, & Green!
