• About Anaheim 2

A2 turned out to be significantly more enjoyable for me than the last few races I've attended. After a having my truck towed at Anaheim 1 because the DMV thought that I had almost $7000 in unpaid parking tickets (which later I proved to them to be untrue), I could use a nice relaxing weekend at the track, without any run-ins with Anaheim's finest. So this weekend I decided to skip that whole overpriced parking thing and just got a ride.

As soon as I got in to the stadium, I was suprised to see Grant Langston coming through the tunnel out on to the track, followed by none other than Ricky Carmichael. Even more surprising was watching him clip around on what appeared to be a wet and slippery piece of wood and crash his shiny YZ450F. It was great to see both of them out on the track and I was hoping that they would both race, but that wasn't going to happen. As you can see from this photo of Langston, posting up in the stands for this opening ceremony provided a pretty good angle for some photos.

We spent the rest day of the day in and out of the stadium, my son and I, visiting friends and eating at the Monster Energy VIP area. The racing was awesome as you already know, and since my son was with me I decided to stay up and shoot from the stands, which I may like a little better because you can see a lot more of the racing. When you are down on the dirt, you can't see everything, but it is great to be up close too. I'll just have to keep doing a little of both I guess! Check out the photos and let me know what you think.
