• New Jersey Motorsports Park Visits The Big Apple

New York, N.Y. (April 10, 2009) - The New York International Auto Show in Manhattan's Jacob Javitz Convention Center attracts car manufacturers from around the world to display their latest models and concepts. With the help of partners, the collection at the New Jersey Motorsports Park booth may be the most unique of any at the show, beginning today and running through Sunday, April 19.

In addition to the cars, a number of star drivers will stop by South Concourse booth to sign autographs throughout the week to promote New Jersey Motorsports Park, the closest professional road racing circuit to New York City.

TRG sports car driver Andy Lally will be on hand to sign autographs on April 14th at 1:00 p.m. and April 15th at 3:00 p.m.; sports car racer Spencer Pumpelly on April 16th at 4:00 p.m. and NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver David Gilliland on April 13th and 14th at 12:00 p.m. Rolex 24 At Daytona champion David Donohue will be on hand to sign autographs on April 18 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park May 1-3, is represented in the booth by a Pirelli Daytona Prototype and the Rolex 24 At Daytona-winning GT car, the No. 67 TRG Porsche 911. The No. 67 machine was driven to victory by New Jersey Motorsports Park principal RJ Valentine, Andy Lally, Justin Marks, Jorg Bergmeister and Patrick Long.

TRG also brought along the No. 71 TRG Motorsports NASCAR Sprint Cup Chevrolet Impala SS that will be running at Talladega Super Speedway on April 26 and a Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR 722 GT, one of only 21 in the world.

Sportscar fans will recognize the 1999 Corvette C5R, a replica of the legendary car that has won endurance races worldwide, from Lightning Racing. A pair of vintage racers from Vintage Racing Services, a 1964 Brabham BT-8 Sports Racer and a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette La Carrera Panamericana, also contributes to the booth's flavor.
