After a week off the AMA Supercross series resumed in the beautiful
Pacific Northwest and more specifically the city of Seattle. Soft dirt
and a tricky track awaited the Rockstar/Hart and Huntington Honda team
but our team riders, Troy Adams and Matt Boni, came through with some
great rides.
Boni, from Geneva, Florida placed fourteenth in the 450 main event
while Adams, from Brooksville Florida was nineteenth. The night started
off strong with Troy running up front in the qualifying heat and
eventually he ended up finishing fifth. The main event was an even
better showing for Troy early on as he ran in the top five for a while
before crashing. It was the best ride of the year for Adams despite the
nineteenth place finish. Boni was his usual solid self but was also a
victim of the rough and rutty Seattle track, crashing while in tenth
place. With two races left, Boni is five points behind for the
prestigious top privateer rider of the year.
"I'm stoked for the guys and I'm happy that they showed what they
can do. I think we can get both guys to run in the top ten at the last
two races and go out with a bang" said team manager Kenny Watson. The
last two races of the supercross series takes place in Salt Lake City
and then Las Vegas where you can be sure the Rockstar/Hart and
Huntington Honda team will bring everything they have to make their pit
presence known.
