Salt Lake City, Utah - For the first time in five years, the
AMA Supercross series came to Salt Lake City and the DNA Energy
Drink/BTO Sports.com/BBMX supercross team shook the city to its core
with their riding and PR skills. Then we were out of breath almost
immediately from being 5400 feet above sea level. Our riders Jason
Thomas and Kyle Keylon in the 450's and Ben Lamay in the 250's thrilled
men, women and children with their racing exploits but only Lamay was
able to transfer to the main event later on in the night.

We'd like to be able to say that our 450 guys qualified good but
had some bad luck but that wouldn't be right. With the heavy rains that
fell during the day, the decision was made to only have one practices
and our guys were hurt by that. In the heat races, JT$ was in a bad
gate and just spun in the mud which made him pretty much the last guy
going into the first turn. Kyle's starts weren't any better. The LCQ
saw an improved JT but that's not worth very much right?
However, our new recruit Lamay shone in his heat race as he came
from the back on his WMI tuned machine to transfer right out of the
heat and into the main. Ben's a great kid and has adapted well to the
CRF 250, he keeps yelling "mush, mush" when he's out there but we're
attributing that to his Alaskan upbringing. Ben would eventually race
hard to a seventeenth in the main event.
