If a 16 year old wrecks their car it may not be their fault, however, chances are that they are not 2-3 days from anyone that can safely reach them if they have been seriously injured. And personally...the reasons for sailing around the world SOLO, by anyone of ANY age, are selfish, frivolous, and self-fulfilling. It cannot be compared to hopping in a car and just going for a joy-ride, or to pick up a few items at a store. This accident doesn't happen to this 16 year old if her parents did their job and used logic...so in this case...it is their fault.
