This weekend I got lucky enough to tag along with my girlfriend on a wakeboarding trip. She has a friend a couple of hours away who lives next to the Fall Creek Falls area in TN. We went to a river that was fairly shallow cause of the limited amount of rain we got this year, so if I wanted to be daring enough I could have carved around several trees sticking out of the water...well needless to say, I'm not that crazy...but her friend was, and it was pretty sweet to watch, haha.

Well I learned a couple of things this time out...front side airs off the wake don't end well if you don't lean back(see pic below)




Also, the wake is super fun to ride on top of almost like your skating the coping of a quarterpipe. See, it really is true how much the board sports transfer over from one to another. And also you can't actually try to ollie of the wake like you would do if you were on a snowboard, cause then you'll absorb so of the launch provided by the wake, so that kinda made it hard for me to get any get launch cause it just felt natural to try to ollie off the wake like i'm hitting a ramp. Well, needless to say, I had a blast and I'm buying a wakeboard this week, hopefully I'll get to take it out one time before the water gets too cold!
