• Skater Of The Year - Haven Skate Park

    Skater of the Year Winner

With the initial event being postponed due to snow, the Seize Promotions Skater of the Year 2009 took place this past weekend at Haven Skate Park in North Haven, CT. HEAL was lucky enough to be a part of this event and would like to thank Seize Promotions, Artifact Skate Shop, and Haven for having HEAL up for the event.

There was an amazing turn out of competitors with an even more amazing level of talent displayed at the event. From the intermediate to advanced groups both were equally as entertaining and the skaters really had to work to win their rounds.

The advanced class was packed with some crazy young kids giving the veterans a run for their money (literally with a $200 cash prize for the winner). There is no doubt next year, or in this case due to the weather this years, SOTY event will be even more promising with the younger talent being able to throw down and make the top 5 again if not win it next time.

Here is a small video recap from Artifact Skate Shop on youtube.
