The ladies of skiing kicked off this dramatic day and skied the pipe with vengeance; each showing the crowd their hunger for a win. Sarah Burke came off a bobble in her first run to win it with her solid second run. The lovely "BurkeDog" made the crowd come alive with her lofty run that included a stylish and highly technical right 9. ![]() Isn't she pretty?- Sarah Burke Photog credit: Rocky Maloney ![]() Jen Hudak- Photo: Rocky Maloney Hometown hero, Jen Hudak positioned herself for podium status by laying a first run down that included a cork 540 to cork 720. This girl gets 'er done. Rounding out the top three was Rosalind Groenewoud who stomped her way to third by landing a huge 540 while keeping her amplitude dailed throughout her run. ![]() RoZ G-Photo by Rocky Maloney: It was great to see the ladies in this contest. Definiately killing it! ![]() Podium: Photo by Rocky Maloney Results 1) Sarah Burke - 91.75 2)Jen Hudak - 88.75 3) Rosalind Groenewoud - 83.00 4) Anais Caradeux - 80.25 5) Virginie Faivre - 73.53 After the women laid their mark, it was time for the "Snowbasin slippers" to slide through and prepare the course for the men. By this time, the sun was shining super bright, and everyone was ready to see a fight for first. The hundreds of spectator's that ventured from all over Utah and surrounding areas were ready for a show. And that's exactly what they got as this contest turned out to be a full on Pro-down! Jossi Wells, who reins from the land of wallabies and kangaroos hopped unto the leader board with his first run. Wells's gigantic run looked absolutely effortlessly as he stylishly put every trick to his feet. ![]() Photo of Jossi- Photo by Rocky Maloney Simon Dumont was skiing exceptionally well and it was evident he wanted the win. You could almost see the intensity through his Oakley Goggles. Pete has been training fervently, and it clearly showed as he launched a highly technical double alley-oop flatspin in his second run.
