To celebrate the upcoming winter season, Keystone Resort will host a rail jam and barbecue on Sept. 15 in River Run Village in Summit County, Colorado. The A51 River Run Rail Series Backyard Barbecue Rail Session is the first rail jam of the season, and it's gearing up to be an action-packed event. Check out the feature video and click here for full event details. Keystone, Colorado--- As part of the newly implemented A51 River Run Rail Series, Keystone Resort presents the first rail jam of the series, Backyard BBQ Rail Session on Saturday, September 15, 2012 in River Run Village. The new Backyard BBQ Rail Session is Keystone's way of ramping up for winter by giving the opportunity for pros and amateurs alike to come out early and test new tricks or dust off the cobwebs and start preparing for the up and coming season. Keystone will bring in 10 tons of snow that will be placed on a multiple rail feature at the base of the River Run, giving athletes the chance to shred on actual ice-chipped snow. Formatting for the rail jam will be in heats of separate categories such as women's snowboarding and will give the chance for athletes to battle it out for the top spot. Of course a rail jam wouldn't be any fun without a party for both spectators and participants. Aligning with Keystone's unpretentious, friendly environment, the event will be filled with energetic entertainment such as live music from DJ DC, a BBQ, drinks and vendor tents showcasing the latest and greatest for next season's equipment including companies such as Never Summer and Fat-ypus. On top of the electric atmosphere, Keystone Resort is going all out with grand prizes and giveaways. Champions for both men's and women's skiing and snowboarding will win a Summit Epic Pass plus the incredible opportunity for free entry into the Transworld TransAm competition (for snowboarders) February 9, 2013 at Keystone or free entry into Breckenridge's Freestyle competition (for skiers) in January 2013. For spectators Keystone will be giving out tons of swag, a chance to win a free Summit Epic Pass and GoPros. Vail Resorts and Keystone will also be offering season passes on-site all day along at last spring's price. Pricing for the rail jam will cost $15 for entry and all participants can register now at www.keystoneresort.com. Channels: Snow < previous 97 of 776 next > |
