"After reading the Taj Burrow interview in th new issue of Surfing Magazine, I feel Perry Hatchett should have been fired long ago. Taj was told by Hatchetts fellow judges that Hatchett had it out for Taj. Deliberately tried to ruin the guys career. Hell yeah he was fired. What a jerk and a coward. Would have been better for him to man up and tell Taj what your problem with him is and reslove it. Now he has no credibility and is disliked by many. He needs to leave the "surf world" and not return."

    Young Guns
It's been said that youth is wasted on the young. If you've been privy to the lives of today's top junior surfers, than you'll know just how wrong that statement is. For the last few years, we've watched as Quik's top-shelf young surf team, the Young Guns, matured from orthodontia to the World Tour all the while a new crop of talent replenishing their ranks. We saw the likes of Jeremy Flores, Dane Reynolds, and Julian Wilson mature into the competitive performers that they are today with a new breed right behind them. Needless to say, the Young Guns are quite the stepping stone to a major career as a professional surfer.

The current collaboration of Quik's Young Gun--made up of Clay Marzo, Tyler Newton,Balaram Stack, and others--is one of the strongest powerhouses ever. Just to prove it to you, Quik is releasing a series of webisodes, chronicling the lives of this stellar congregation of budding greats. Take a gander below.
