If you've been privy to the lives of today's top junior surfers, than you'll know just how wrong that statement is. For the last few years, we've watched as Quik's top-shelf young surf team, the Young Guns, matured from orthodontia to the World Tour all the while a new crop of talent replenishing their ranks. We saw the likes of Jeremy Flores, Dane Reynolds, and Julian Wilson mature into the competitive performers that they are today with a new breed right behind them. Needless to say, the Young Guns are quite the stepping stone to a major career as a professional surfer. The current collaboration of Quik's Young Gun--made up of Clay Marzo, Tyler Newton,Balaram Stack, and others--is one of the strongest powerhouses ever.
